I love almost anything that is Science Fiction or Fantasy.
Below are the new and returning shows for 2014.

I have high hopes for the show in the photo below. It's Bitten which is based
on a line of books by Kelley Armstrong.  Bitten is in a series called Women of the Otherworld.
I've read the books and really enjoyed all of them. Laura ( Read more... )

Wow. Very comprehensive list! Not sure if/how to respond to it. Grimm - awesome. Love it to pieces. Dracula - still watching, although.... (hubby leaves the room when it comes on. lol). watching Agents of Shield but not overwhelmed yet. I didn't like the American version of Being Human, so quit watching a long time ago. Um... let's see (getting tired of scrolling up and back down to comment. lol) Intelligence - watched the premiere last night. Reserving judgement. Didn't hate it, but didn't become an instant fan either. Person of Interest - thought last night was pretty good. Still liking it, although we will miss Jocelyn... that's all I can remember right now. Oh, Dr. Who - of course we'll watch that and hope for the best. Will check out Bitten and see if it's something to add to the list.

Yes, a very long list. Thankfully I didn't have to create it. The source is at the top. Have you noticed how many Whedon producers and writers are in some of these shows?

I loved the beginning of the BBC version of Being Human, but then they got off track toward the later part. When they put the vampire and ghost together it bothered me. George was my favorite. When he left I gave up on it. The American one started like the original, but then branched off into their own style which I found I liked. Love all the actors in the American one and have met some of them.

I've met Laura Vandervoort and she is very nice. She did a Smallville panel at Dragon*Con. James Marsters was there and had to leave a bit early for a photo shoot. He went from actor to actor for a hug before he left. Laura went very fangirl and squealed about Spike hugging her. Made me laugh.

I suspect Joss et all will be a hot commodity in the entertainment world for quite a while. They will expect anything Joss or one of his producers/directors/writers to touch to turn to gold. :)

I didn't care for the turn the BBC version took when George left, and I had already lost interest knowing the Aiden was going to be killed, so I didn't watch faithfully for at least one season. But, I did pick it up again and the new characters kind of grew on me, so I watched the last season. (I think it was the last season - seemed like they were ending it) I probably didn't give the American version a good shot - at first, I didn't like it because they were following a story I already knew and I already knew and liked the original characters. Then they went off on their own, and I didn't like it because they weren't following the original. LOL Just no pleasing me. :)

The American version of Being Human did follow the original for awhile, but American TV has more episodes than the BBC does. They had to flesh out the story line and make it their own. Once George left the BBC version I lost interest.

Oh long list. I'm not sure that everything airs here (Germany) in the free TV). With so many stations it's hard to follow what is and what's not (but we're one season behind here anyway).

I didn't know that Kelley Armstrong's book were made a series, they are on my to be read list.
I wonder too how true blood will end. Someone leaked a spoiler how the books ended (I still have to read the last ones) so I wonder what they'll do with the TV Series.

When I lived in Germany, we only had the American Forces network. I did see some German TV at my landlord's. It shocked me with some of it's content.

I love Kelley Armstrong's books. I was excited to find out they chose Bitten to develop into a series. I think they are mostly going with Elena's group and fill out the story lines for the series. I think it will be like how The Vampire Diaries and True Blood are based on the book series, but expanded to make a complete series.

Ah like True Blood - yeah, that makes sense. And won't force me to read the books because TV and books will be different. (I know whom Sookie ends up in the books because I heard the spoiler *cough* and checked the end of the book* but I have no clue what will happen in the TV series.

BTW got the new TV magazine today - at the moment new seasons / series are starting. One of them seems to be Agents of SHIELD. Though I wish for Dr. Who.... (it's not on the free TV).

Agents of Shield has a slow start. I kept watching because of Coulson and Melinda May. Now J. August Richards is guest starring for several episodes. Stan Lee will be in an episode with hopefully more than just a cameo.

Yes, True Blood changed many things of the books. I haven't read the books, but did hear about who Sookie ended up with in the books. I don't see that happening in the TV show.
