Christmas is the most difficult holiday for retail employees. Found this comic strip that manages to explain quite a bit of what we go through during the holidays.
My customers are generally nicer than the ones where you work. Some are dicks, but most are very nice to me.
We were so busy Monday. A cashier came over to help me and then a manager did as well. One of my regular guest came up to the desk to do a return. He was laughing and said I had waited on three people while the others were still helping one each. About an hour before I left for the day a guest commented that my attitude was still so good. I laughed and said that was because I was about to leave for the day. I had many just stopping by to say "Merry Christmas" to me before they left the store.

if only people who don't retail really knew how much they anger us with their attitudes, they would be a lot nicer.
