human dignity of gays and lesbians in California, and to officially reclassify their relationships
and families as inferior to those of opposite-sex couples. The Constitution simply does not

I was so happy when I heard the news but like you said there are going to be appeals.

It's a shame that here we are in the 21st century and there are still people who are so narrow minded. They need to go back to an earlier time when they can be happy.

I don't think the people who are against same sex marriage would be happy in any century. They would just find some other thing to object to and make themselves feel superior.

I hadn't heard anything about Ellen vs JC Penny.

Susan G. Komen Foundation is based in Dallas so I know about that mess. Thankfully the backlash of what they did brought out people who refused to accept it. I thought the move was political and it was.

A 'family values' group called OneMillionMoms (38,000 hits a month) tried to get JC Penney to fire Ellen (3,000,000 viewers a night) because she 'offended' families.

Hundreds of thousands of Moms turned around and said they were now going to start shopping at JC Penney because they refused to fire Ellen.

That's the amazing thing about the US. We have such varied views, but don't like bullies. I know those outside the country often hate the US, but at least we have the freedom to voice our views.
