Okay, so I admit it. I'm a fickle bitch when it comes to technology.

But I am not the only one.

I don't like Compaqs, but oh, that it so very pretty.

Did they provide any size dimensions?

All I know so far is that it's an 8.9" screen and will weigh about 2.5 lbs. More than this I am still trying to find out.

but I still love my Eee, which was considerably cheaper and does everything I want it to! And is around 2lbs, or just under. Having just carried it all round Vegas, it definitely wasn't a burden.

Yes, your posts about it are what got me considering it instead of the newly released Everex Cloudbook. The fact that it's quieter and faster because of the SSD instead of a cheap 30GB standard HDD has me thinking about it, seriously.

Although I'd likely replace Xandros as the OS, maybe load Kubuntu or something.

I've got used to Xandros th0ugh I do let Marcus do most of the installing. I now have teamspeak, bittornado and my other essentials on it, so haven't felt the need to move yet, but if I did, I'd prob go to Kubuntu too as Marcus knows it quite well.

Oh that is pretty. (Of course, it'd be prettier if it was pink... or had matching shoes.) And you, sir, are a geek. :)

Wow. 549 for all that running SuSE. I may ... have to wait. DAMN YOU, INHERENT HUMAN NEED FOR IMMEDIATE GRATIFICATION, ALWAYS HOLDING BACK MY EVOLUTION!

The need for instant gratification is why I bought the Eee. It was cheap enough that I don't care if I upgrade it in a year :-)

Plus, was easily paid for by my overtime recently.

There is that. I can always buy this now and use next year's tax refund to buy the 2133. After all, it will have more of a fan base by then and more support and mods will be available.

Hrm.

Of course, some would just say you are enabling my need for IMMEDIATE GRATIFICATION.

We hates those people.
