A walk in the park...

Albert Park, to be precise. I would have liked to go swimming this weekend, but St Kilda Rd has been given over to the Music Festival, and the normally-quiet area was crowded with strangers. Paul and I set off in what was as close to the opposite direction as seemed likely to get us peace and quiet -- into Albert Park, around the lake. And this ( Read more... )

Hee. There are generally two breezes -- if it's blowing from the city, you get concrete smells, traffic smells, food smells, and it's usually hot and dry. If you can smell the salt, well, look out for rain, because it's blowing in off the ocean, and the temperature drops noticeably. That's my favourite kind, at least right now, in summer. I imagine I'll feel differently come winter when it's already more than cool and we go to cold. :)
