I have a bit of the same feeling. Maybe I'll feel better when I get some practice built up, but I will never have the spare time to throw into fighting that I once did. Perhaps my attitude towards obsession needs more commitment than I can give now.

I've been going through the same dilemma for the past couple of years. Part of me wants to fight because I miss the excitement of it, and part of me doesn't mind so much when I fore-go fighting because I'm enjoying other aspects of the SCA that I never really had time to notice never mind even participate in.
Estrella did reinvigorate my want of fighting though. I had a blast (excluding one bad experience)! And having lost weight REALLY made a difference on how much fun I did have! It also motivated me to lose the rest of the weight that I want to lose.
I also learned that I don't have to spend the entire event fighting. It was nice to fight for 2 days and then take the 3rd day to do some non-fighting activities. I will have to do that more often!
