I don't remember why/how I got inspired but I did and I'm trying to make a dent in the yarn collection. I'm taking a knitting class at the Workspace so I have someone to ask questions when things fall apart. And I made my first not flat crochet project. It's all single stitch and it worked out pretty well. I'm pretty proud of it.

Beau -vs- Snow... snow wins if it's deep. ;p I measured the drift outside the backdoor: 10"-14". Beau just looked at me when I told him to go outside... so I got out the shovel and it still took a little bit of convincing to get him outside ( Read more... )

So Beau is doing the kennel command. Well ok, so maybe i have to glare at him and he sort of works he way across the room putting on a cute face going "but i'm too cute to put in the box. :)" BUT he will walk in by himself now. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm taking small victories where I can get them. More work to do but progress is being made.

So Beau apparently likes daycare. Yesterday I let go of the leash once we were inside and he ran right past the worker for the door into the play area. Pretty much looked back at her and said "LET ME IN!!!!!! PLEASE!!! Hurry, Hurry!" so that was rather amusing. He didn't even really seem to care that I'd left. Returning to the USA has been a bit of a whirlwind! My friend Cathy helped me get all my stuff to a Formula 1 hotel by the airport. Otherwise… I wouldn’t have made it; I can say that for sure! But I did make it with only one over weight bag. I’m pretty proud for being gone a year. Amazingly I didn’t have any delays or problems in Chicago. My plan ( Read more... )
