Ugh, ugh... Ears are still fucked up. Been to the doctors today, and was told I have liquid behind my eardrums. Yeah, I was at the nurses office/care center and had a doctor check them ( Read more... )

My hearing has ended up a hint better in my left ear, so it seems as if this treatment works. But man oh man... This is just about the most annoying thing that has happened to me. :-P

Good luck taking it easy (can't be easy for you) and get well soon!

Ha ha ha! :-D Well, if I'd have been at work, I wouldn't have had time to take it easy. ;-) I was smart though and called in sick, so I've been away from work for three days. :-)

when i had trouble with fluid in my ears, the audiologist told me to hold my nose & gently try to blow through it. it pops the tube in your neck open, so the fluid can drain. it also usually hurts the first time, so be warned if you try it. he said to make a habit of doing it multiple times every day. i do it a couple of times whenever i start having problems & it usually takes care of things. just remember to blow gently.

Oh yes, I know! That's what I described up there! And I've tried it several times, but it just wouldn't work... Until today. When it ALMOST worked, so I'll keep trying it now and then until my ears have pooped properly. :-P My hearing has almost come back on my left ear, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed this treatment together with me trying this several times a day will help...

I always seem to have water in my ear and I had tons of ear aches as a kid so my mom started making your own drops. 50/50 rubbing alcohol and vinegar. I have a little dropper bottle I keep and put a little in my ear every now and then. Helps a lot.

I'd not heard about that trick! That sounds like a good idea to keep around, yeah.... The nasal drops I got actually helped a ton, which does sound weird but makes sense. Gladly I'm OK now and hear normally. :-)

This works great for water in the ear or build up. It can clear up an infection that requires ear drops but not one that requires oral antibiotics.

You can do just a couple drops of rubbing alcohol in your ear to help dry up fluids but I wouldn't recommend doing that for a long stretch.

I use my mom's homemade ear drops often because my sinuses give me and my right ear issues.

I hope it helps.
