Hello - about Theon... I am positive he is at his lowest right now this season and that the only way from here is onwards and up! I'm sure characters will still treat him badly but I'm sensing a shift in him. He's been a "good guy" for seasons now but this season will see him finally realizing that he is his own man and that he can make changes for the better actively.
I guess it's the way Alfie Allen plays him but there is a maturity and a dignity to him now that I just adore. He's grown into the man he wanted to be (he just doesn't know it yet, and neither do his men/people around him.) But since it's so obvious to us, the viewers, I just think that season 7 will see more people realize this and I can't wait. It's truly the underdog story and who doesn't love a good underdog story?
Ever since he left Ramsey I think Theon has struggled to find even a sliver of himself. I think Yara helped, for sure, but he has SO MUCH WORK still to do with himself. He is far far from even close to himself yet. :-P I like him though, despite all he struggles with and the mistakes he's done. I think you're right. I think we'll see more of him, more good things, before this season is over. Fingers crossed!
I've always been a sucker for underdogs, I guess that is why I do root for Theon. And you're right. Alfie Allen is AMAZING! He really is!
