Your coworker is an asshole.

You are lovely. Take care of yourself, okay? *hugs you*

Indeed. A mentally sick asshole even. At least I won't have to deal with her anymore. :-)

I don't even know what to... And being a martyr on top of it all just DOESN'T help does it!? Is there someone Awesome Boss can talk to, like higher up in the chain..?
Hugs love

Oh there is, and she is. She's in constant contact with those higher up in the chain. Still is.

Jfc. I'd have burnt a fuse REAL fast at all that.

I kept burning fuses left and right when this was going on. I'm quite impressed by myself that I managed to do my job despite it all. And apparently I've done it quite well. According to Awesome Boss.

Just wow. I don't even know what to say either. If she is on leave should she be at work at all. I think I would have told her she should just be home getting rest and healing up.

I mean now that she's labeled "sick" she can do whatever she wants?

Crazy.

I think she got more issues than 'just' being burned out. And she really really shouldn't be at work. She's now on prolonged sick leave. And she's not coming back to this library. She's going to be moved to another position. And if one she can hold can't be found, she'll be sacked. Sounds harsh, maybe, but this has been going on for far to long. Years, I've been told.

From what I've been told all she is doing is trying to talk old friends into giving her a job, and no one wants to really. It's just damn sad all around.

It's all been very crazy, yeah. But now when she's not there anymore, things are a lot more calm. And I am getting comfortable in my professional role. But then, of course, I am getting moved to another library, a school library I've worked at before that has a whole pile of other issues since it's a lot of refugee kids there...

No, she shouldn't but it seems like she does have issues. Well it is good she's not returning. Yeah you can only get away with so much.

It is.

Well, hopefully things will go smoothly.

Holy crap, I think there's more things wrong with your coworker than being burnt out.

Oh yeah. Me, Awesome Boss and Awesome Colleague are all agreed on that. She's clearly got a ton of more issues... that she totally ignores.
