Life moves on while sadness lingers...

Back to work today. Feels weird and good. I have an easy start though. This week I am working at the library closest to where I live. So it takes me about 5-10 mins to get to work, which is quite the difference how it’ll be later on... I wish I could work there all the time. I love the patrons there and the other librarians that work there. It’s an ( Read more... )

I'm new here, so I have some catching up. I'm sorry though :-(.

Thank you. It's not that far to catch up. Just my previous post. A fandom friend for many many years killed herself just a week or two ago. So it's a bit tough right now, admittedly.

I know what you mean. I actually went to work the next day after finding out about Chloe, and didn't tell anyone what had happened. It was just too personal and it helped to keep me busy. Plus one of my best friends works with me, so he knew right away that something was wrong, so even though I was busy I had him to lean on.

I had the problem that it was 'just' an online friend, you know... Which is idiotic thinking, since online friends can mean just as much as RL friends. :-/ But yeah. I didn't tell anyone at work. Just my family and closests friends, because they understand me better. :-P

idunno.i get your point, but you know your online friends incredibly well. i actually know you better than i know a lot of people in real life, so if something happened to you.. i'd be crushed. (god forbid)

and honestly, id just tell people 'my friend'. not 'my live journal friend'. i mean, we send each other christmas cards and know each others birthdays and i know all about your struggles to have alexandra and you know all about my struggles in med school. you're my friend. and she was yours.

no just about it. i feel your pain :(

I'll make sure nothing happens to me then. And likewise. *HUGS*

It is true though. I know many of my chatt friends so well, it's insane. And hey, I'm an open book so it always go both ways. Maybe that's why people have an easy time to trust me? I don't know. I just know that all my friends are important to me. And so was Tashé. I still feel so so sad about her. :-/ But I think it's important to remember and to mourn properly, you know?
