Just in case you haven't seen this skit from the Daily Show writers on the WGA strike, it's worth checking out.

Also I wanted to give a shout-out about the Apex Digest subscription drive. They reprinted "Last Respects" on their online fiction market, and they're running a drive to increase the amount they pay their authors. They're minimum goal is ( Read more... )

That was a hoot!

I contributed heavily (4 subscriptions worth) to the Apex raffle. Since I'm not into what they publish (i.e., short stories), I thought it was a good way to support them.

Oh, good -- I'm glad you liked it. I was a bit worried people had already seen it but I thought it tied in well with the subscription drive (except nobody's on strike in that camp).

you should check out the lateshowwritersonstrike.com. good stuff from Dave's writers. It might actually be funnier than his show was before the strike.

I agree -- very funny and much better than the show prior to the strike :)
