So, Dave, How's The Writing Going?

My friend Davis asked me that question recently, and it's been asked a few other times, especially since I've been co-editing PodCastle. And I appreciate it. Because in general, the writing has been going very slow, and if there's something I could do better right now, that would easily be at the top of the list. Good for you! Sometimes, I think, our brains just need a break to recharge, and the tap just trickles for a little bit of time.

Nice work with PodCastle, though. That's great to hear.

I hope so!

There is only so much time in a day, lovey. Writing is on the backburner now, because you are busy being an awesome daddy and husband and co-editor at Podcastle. Oh, and there's the dayjob too.

There's an ebb and flow to things. Your constants are your kids, and your wife. But right now, the writing ebbs while Podcastle flows. Love what you're doing. Don't lament what you're not. Something will give eventually--even your darling babies will grow up and not require (or want!) quite so much attention, and the writing will move back into its space. It's part of who you are.
