Alright, dudes. I've seen this week's LOST: Doctor Linus. Good times for bad guys!

How Different Would it Have Been? The Island Still Pulled You to It )

I rather liked it, because it was nice character-focused episode. And since Ben is such a marvelously complex character, it worked for me ( ... )

I'm still holding out hope for Sayid. I mean, if Ben can get some kind of happy ending...

Right now, my current theory is that the Sideways world is The End, or the world the Losties inherit. I'm not exactly sure how that works out, but it's become clear (as mud, maybe) that the timeline difference wasn't caused by the bomb. To some degree, I'm okay with this. It's a happier ending than I thought. But to another degree, I dunno. The idea of the island being at the bottom of the ocean really bums me out.

You sound like Sawyer, talking about how Ben gets to keep on living and Juliet is dead.

Not that I disagree: Juliet was one of my favorite characters, and my favorite female character. It's a shame to see her playing someone a lot less "there" (savvy, smart, whatever) on V.

That is an interesting theory, and I could see that happening. The Sideways world is where they end up, once all is said and done. Either through the actions of Jacob or Smokey, or through their own actions or through the resolution of island events. But would they remember? I'd hope they would, because otherwise what was the point of the whole show. It would be a real ST. ELSEWHERE ending.

Another theory I heard is that the Sideways Timeline is actually the "Real" Timeline, now that the bomb whacked the island, and that the PlaneCrash Timeline is the aberrant timeline that will eventually end. Which is similar to your theory.

Wait and see, I guess, wait and see.

I like the idea of the PlaneCrash timeline being the "Real" timeline. It's just, with sideways stories about Ben finding redemption and Jack getting over his daddy issues, I don't see the other timeline negating that. So I wonder if that's where they end up? Also, I know they don't remember what happened on the island now, but if my theory is correct, I'd expect the Sideways Losties to remember by the end of the series...

Loved the show, loved how Ben layed it all out in front of Ilana. I guess he took Miles' "lying never gets you anywhere" speech to heart. I think this is the only time I was sure he was being honest.

Good to see him do something good for Sideways Alex also. I'm not too worried about the Sideways stories. I think they will tie into the island timeline in some way, but not completely.

Now, I'm just waiting for a Jin episode.

It's funny...as much as I want to see the Sawyer episode (or the Kwon episode, or the Hurley episode), I'm really excited about the Richard Alpert episode and...other stuff I've heard might be coming. (I guess it's the penultimate episode, which rumor has none of the series regulars will appear in.)

That *must* be the "Joop the Orangutan Explains Everything" episode!

That will be So Incredibly Awesome! I can't wait...

I loved this episode. Loved! And... I confess, I do hope Ben gets more redemption than Sayid. I don't really find anything redeeming in Sayid. Really, to me he's just one of the more 'meh' characters.

Everybody was so mean to Ben! Meanies.

I'm a Sayid fan who does hope he gets something, but I guess we'll see. He and Sawyer are probably my two favorite characters on the show. They'd better give me my Sawyer flash-sideways, and stat!

Sawyer flash next week! I've missed him the last three episodes...

Actually, I'm trying to figure out who in the cast now I don't like and am coming up pretty empty.

Ben was a meanie first! And Sayid is awesome! What're you smokin'?

But yeah, it was a good episode, and whatever happens, I hope Ben goes out good (note: I don't mean not evil :)
