Essentially, Pearl Jam's new album Backspacer makes me want to rent a school bus and drive across the country with all my friends for a few months. Anyone up for that?
Reading what you've said here, and knowing our similar love (cough:obsession:cough) with U2, I want to run out and get this album *right now*. I haven't listened to PJ in a while, and the themes of these songs sound similar to what I've been dealing with/going through in my own life lately. And, hell, *I* almost sobbed just thinking about the connection that a poignant song can make with one's state of mind. You know that the songwriter has been there and that you're not alone, and you get to where you hear the first chords of *that* song and it all comes rushing back.
You arrange the bus, I'll bring the s'mores fixins, nnnkay?
I've been meaning to tell you--my brother (the one who lived in Cali) went to see U2 last night in NYC courtesy of Sprint. Just thought you should know. :)

It's a very good album. There's a few songs that seem Eh? to me, but all in all...wow. It just really connects. The songs that are good soar.
