I do love me some Indiana Jones. The short, spoiler free version of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is that it was good. Not great. I'm not even sure I'd call it pretty good. Some of the scenes in the movie completely kicked ass, and I was surprised by some of what did work really well for me. Mostly, Shia LaBeouf surprised the hell out of me,

That being said, I kind of like the fact that they allude to a past history, making you wonder and imagine what the story was. They did this beautifully in "Raiders" with Indy & Marion's past history concerning her father. I think maybe they did it one time too many though, making you feel like you've missed out on something major.

I was definitely okay with them alluding to some of the past. When Indy looked at the picture of his dad and Marcus and said "It's been a hard year," that was cool. I would've liked to have see more than just allusion (although this bothered me less with Oxley than the others).

And yeah, I wouldn't have let him back into the group, ESPECIALLY after he confesses to being CIA! I did enjoy Indy's line, "What does this make you, a (counts on fingers) triple agent?"
