There's a groovy little review of the Triangulation: Dark Glass anthology here, in which "Saint Darwin's Spirituals" gets a nice little shout-out. Or, maybe I should say an "interesting" shout-out? Either way, I'm pleased my story was picked out in the review.

Watching the X-Files: I Want to Believe yesterday was a lot like watching a pretty solid 2-hour X-Files episode.  It's almost as if Fox (20th Century, not Spooky -- we'll get to him later) said to Chris Carter, "Hey we want to revive this show, only without the mythology.  Here's $30 million."  And Chris Carter banged out a pretty good made-for-TV ( Read more... )

The Fix reviews the latest batch of short stories from Hub Magazine, including a pretty sparkly paragraph for "God-Shaped Box."  I am, apparently,  whimsical and poignant.  Who knew?  (Need to make sure Emma sees that bit!)

But seriously, it made me happy that the reviewer enjoyed the entire thing and found the ending "thought-provoking."  Score!

I do love me some Indiana Jones.  The short, spoiler free version of Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is that it was good.  Not great.  I'm not even sure I'd call it pretty good.  Some of the scenes in the movie completely kicked ass, and I was surprised by some of what did work really well for me.  Mostly, Shia LaBeouf surprised the hell out of me, ( Read more... )
