Need Suggestions

I am working on a website for a group of high school cheerleaders. I am going to administer the site and need to find a good place to host it. Does anyone have any recommendations on web hosting? I want to be able to have at least some password protected folders that only the parents and girls will be able to access ( Read more... )

I use westhost for my sites. it's pretty reasonably priced and I like the stuff they offer in terms of applications and stuff. They're definitely business oriented, though.

godaddy.com is supposed to be good, too. That's where Noah has his stuff up and he likes it and it's monster cheap.

I use pair.com for theboykos.com, nbrm.ca, shrr.ca and a few others (novascotiarailwayheritage.com and margoweb.com).

They are industrial strength, very reliable. Definitely not the cheapest but they have been around forever and are very well thought of.

Pretty much every provider will do password protected folders. All it really needs is a .htaccess file in that directory with the username and password.
