So a few weeks ago, we had an election up here in Canada, and it was... pretty much useless. Still a minority Conservative government, still Harper in charge

You know, if Canada would just hurry up and join the US already we would be much less likely to elect Republican presidents in the future. That'd be something like an extra 60 electoral college points, all reliably blue.

... well, except for your province probably. So Alberta can stay.

What are you talking about, man? Alberta is the only province that has been 100% blue in the last two federal elections. XD

But seriously, a poll conducted in Alberta in just the last week showed that 77% of Albertans would vote for Obama were they given a vote. This may seem strange, until you realize that our Conservative party would probably be considered centrists or even slightly left in America, and some of the big issues that the Democrats and the GOP argue about (such as abortion or creationism taught in schools) are not considered issues at all here.
