I <3 Madeline L'Engle. And this is why we were meant to be CHALLENGE PARTNERS! Because Calvin = love. And Meg = awesome. :-)

My favorite book is A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN by Betty Smith. Its about this little girl named Francie, who at the start of the book is 11 years old, who wants grow up to be a writer because she loves to read. Her home life is quite poor and her father is an alcoholic. Her father ends up dying and then the Great War happens. It ends with Francie being 19 and giving up her dreams of writing in order to live life and get on with things. It also includes her parents' love story, her family's background (both sides) and about her younger brother. Basically its a family sagaaaaaa. I loves it. <3 ( ... )
