venting : dreams lost and found.

Sometimes dreams are hidden, lost, forgotton or swept under a rug. I don't think it's ever too late to revisit them. 
Once upon a time there were things I hoped to achieve. Things I wished to have in life. Things I dreamed to be in life. Dreamed. I haven't even thought about those "dreams" in so long. Thinking back now it's.. well it is painful.

hey baker! Thanks. I know it's been a long time, almost a year actually.
The significance of the pic.. I had a few dreams of a place that looked like that, and in turn thought of it often. Then one day I stumbled across that photo which looked so similar to that place. I don't know where that pic was taken, never could figure that out but it looks just like my "happy place." You just can't see the tree behind me and the wind in my hair :)

The first step to fulfilling our dreams is to actually reach for them, but things get in the way of our reaching: circumstances, fears, disillusionment, distraction...

I'm happy to hear that it sounds like you're reaching again. :) I'm glad you're writing. Now, don't take this post down. It may just help someone else realize they're ready to start reaching.

couldn't remember my old LJ login info, that's how long it's been since I've been here.
I let a lot of things slip by me the past few years, looking back I should have grabbed ahold of them, so I"m kinda relating my missed opportunities with your misplaced "dreams". If I could go back and grab those things I would. If you have the chance to grab what you want, do it. I hope you do cause you deserve to get what you want. You've spent too much time in the background! I"m sure it will be hard at first but who knows you could become one of those girls we hate, the kind that always get what they want haha ♥

Weird, I just recently decided to go for that dream that seems so elusive. I did Tue samethimg, kept telling mysrlf to forget that I don't need it. Yet in the back of my mind it always lingered. A few months ago I thought, 30 years from now I want to look back and be happy that I at least tried no matter the outcome. So I say go for the dream, no matter how hard it can seem. So that in 30 years you won't regret that you didn't try.
