You know, the seamless flashback should have thrown me out of the story, but it really was an interesting choice. It works pretty well! Love the idea of Sam going off on his own and Dean stitching him up. Oh boys! *cuddles them* Jones-the-drunk-hermit was also a treat :)

I'm glad it didn't throw you for too much of a loop. I thought it was more difficult to follow the transition back to the present than the one into the past, but that's how thoughts kind of work, for me anyhow; I'm thinking about one thing, then some completely random tangent takes over, then a small detail brings me back to now. I like to try and bring that through in the character-driven pieces, if that makes any sense.

Anyway, thanks! I love the idea of Dean, the hot male nurse... or maybe that should stay in my fantasy life. ;)

It should be wrong that hurting boys and patching them back up makes for such nice stories. But I don't care.
