Oh my GOD, Plushenko, just SHUT UP you sour little infant. Not only did Russia award him a "Platinum" medal as a salve for the butthurt, now he's representing it as coming from Vancouver on his website!
To think, the Olympics could be about the world coming together to celebrate its greatest athletes, bridge cultural gaps and be an outlet for folks to live out their dreams and in general, just be fun to watch.
But no. There's this.
Sportsmanship used to count for something. How is it this doofus can't lose gracefully? And really, is gold all THAT important? It should be enough that you MADE it here and got to compete in the bloody OLYMPICS.
This poor thing has completely lost touch with reality. Someone should take him aside for pyschiatric care.
O RLY? I'm quite sure the IOC might be interested in this new category of medals, apparently only available to certain Russian male skaters! Plushi also cornered Jacques Rogge in the CTV studios the other day and demanded that the scoring system be changed. *snerk* Mr. Rogge's too diplomatic to roll his eyes, but I'll bet there was a few of those 'old' looks exchanged once he was off-camera.
Howevah! The gold & silver wins of our CDN & US ice dancers, the first EVER for North Americans, are definitely worth celebrating... although I agree with you on the luggage-handler aspects of that Russian costume. They seemed a little pouty, too, but it'll be harder to claim that their bronze is actually 'platinum' without the help of Photoshop.

What? Are you serious? How pathetic! Not only does that seem like cheating, it's hideously unfair to the other skaters.
