I know that snow is no big deal to all of you up north who have been absolutely buried, but it snowing down here THIS much is unheard of. The news says Arlington has gotten 7" of it so far with at least six more hours to go. We're on our way to having the snowiest day in our history. In 32 years we haven't had THIS much snow. Because of that, today ( Read more... )

I think this further proves that there is no global warming.

Global warming makes the pendulum swing further in both directions. That's why it should be called climate change instead of global warming; it makes people think that just because it snows or gets cold, it's not happening. Climate change makes warm seasons warmer and cold seasons colder. Freak blizzards and storm systems are going to keep happening because of changes in our climate patterns.

I get so tired of hearing people say that snow = global warming doesn't exist; it's scientifically misinformed.

ETA: I mean, lookit, if Bill Nye The Science Guy says so, it has to be true.

Warmer temperatures, means more evaporation, which means more precipitation. This is far more an indication of Climate Change then against it.

Besides, the ultimate end of global warming is an ice age.

Yes I was going to say that about the moisture in the air but I wasn't 100% sure I had it straight. Thank you!

haha well i'm glad you're enjoying it down there. spent the day shoveling out from out latest snow dump here in MD. my county is still under a state of emergency and i've been out of work all week thus far. think our grand snow total this year is over 6 feet already which is unheard of here.

shoveled 4 foot snow drifts off my deck today and my back is killing me for it. and there is a snow drift in my front yard that comes up to my top of my boobs when i stand next to it. will post pics soon to share. have pics from the 1st two blizzards of the winter on my facebook page.

hope things are going better for you, talk to you soon!

That's an awesome Mickey. It took me a few viewings at both angles to realize you made his ears from paper plates!

Snow's the best when it comes down hard and goes away quickly. It's the getting around in it that makes things tricky, but if you don't have to do that, then it's great!

Also, I spent some time in Dallas visiting a friend once.

It snowed.

Ohhhh my god this is basically the coolest thing that has ever happened. I have never seen snow like this before! My friends and I spent hours just out running around in it today. I feel like we've been transported into some alternate reality or something.
