So as some of you might have garnered from mentions here and there (or maybe not), my friend appletango is getting married next month. I've known her since high school and she's one of the only high school peoples I still talk to and socialize with on a regular basis. Her bridal shower is...well... Because obviously nothing says true love and wedded bliss than badly rendered purple paisley on a garbage bag.

Blimey! It's no wonder that you decided to re-wrap it yourself... I'd be ashamed to hand over such a badly wrapped present to a bride and groom on their wedding day.

I'm sorry but that wrapping made me laugh out loud.

I'd send those photos to them with a request for a refund on the wrapping cost.

I would have been irate if I had had to pay for that. It was complimentary, but I'm still going to e-mail corporate and send them these photos to let them know for the price we pay for stuff in there, we should get better gift wrapping and that it makes them look REALLY bad to let that slide.

*shakes head sadly* She probably was thrilled at the most awesome job she did with wrapping or she really didn't give a half-chewed rat's ass about it. That was embarrassing!

As one who used to work for a part of Hallmark (the online part)... I cringe at what I would be selling to people. I wanted to say to them "Please! Go out and look for a local florist (for those who didn't want a same day delivery which would in fact come from a local florist) or Artist and support them and their work... this stuff comes cheaply made and mass produced." I grew up with the if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all instead of lying... Hallmark wanted me to lie to the customers. They told me this in a meeting.

Is it a norm for good quality companies to go downhill after they reach/pass a certain size?
