Every once in a while, I find myself or someone else engaged in a task that will provoke an acquaintance to say, "Oh, I would never be able to do that!" And for the purposes of this discussion, it really doesn't matter what that task is. It annoys me when people try to claim they were just not built to do something when they could probably do very well if they made an effort and started from the beginning like everyone has to. It's okay not to be interested in improving in certain areas, but don't act like it's impossible! Just be honest about not being interested!

And I agree--on a similar note--about people seeming to assume it's a supernatural power and no effort and practice was required of you. It's similar to people saying stuff like, "Oh it's because you have a nice camera," when I take a decent photo. Yeah, that's all there was to it. :P
