Er. Picspam to make up for being gone forever again?

*waves cautiously in the hopes of still being remembered*

... so my last year's plan of actually being around on LJ more went the way most plans tend to go these days. Oops.

In my defence, I haven't actually been up to much lately, other than sighing dreamily over Peter Capaldi (yes, I have now met him; he held my hand and looked at me and Read more... )

It's wonderful to see you again, and I love the pictures, especailly the squirrels.

I will do my best to be around a bit more often than twice a year. :D

The squirrels were fabulous. It's been years since I've seen any, although I do know they live there - it's a huge park and there's usually too many people around, I think.

"And more foggy park" would make a nice screen saver. :)

Glad you've got to meet and greet some of the folk that make you smile. Thank you, once again, for sharing your beautiful photos.

Fog can make anything pretty! :D

Thank you. I'm glad about that too - got pictures with all the current Doctor Who main cast (granted, it's not that many of them) and the entire festival experience was awesome.

It's lovely to see you again and the pics are gorgeous. I especially love the squirrel and the fog ones.
Actually, I've been thinking of you as I'm finally watching series 9 and love the Twelfth Doctor even more than in the previous series.
Sadly, though, there doesn't seem to be much of a fandom around for him.

I was SO delighted about the squirrel. I always look around in the hopes of seeing one whenever we've been there but the last time we actually saw one was years ago... and this time, there were three!

Twelve is amazing. Honestly, he's MY Doctor, through and through (and not just because Peter gets me all weak in the knees). Not a very busy fandom though, admittedly, yeah - although I think it's just that it's a ten year old show now in its current shape and active fandom as such has pretty much disappeared compared to its heyday (dropped a lot during Eleven's last year from what I've been able to tell). Pity but hey, more Peter to those of us there. :D (And he's just brilliant with fans, infinitely patient and giving and warm.)

There's a fair few of us Twelve fans on Twitter though, which is fun. :D And Twelve/Clara is still reasonably popular on AO3, although it's dwindling a bit now.

Eleven's last series very nearly put me off Doctor Who - or rather Nu Who. Initially I only continued watching because I was curious about the twelfth doctor - good thing I did!

Hm, perhaps I should look into getting a twitter account after all.

So, if I were to look for good Twelve stories where would I start? And authors/stories you'd recommend? (As you know I don't do Dark and I'm rather partial to a happy ending.)

Yeah, I gave up completely before the end of S6. And I get the impression a lot of people quit around late S6 / S7 - some never came back at all, some, like me, decided to give the anniversary special & regeneration special a go and stick around at least to see what the new Doctor would bring ( ... )

Hello YOU! Glad to see you in these parts. As always your photos are marvelous. Love the squirrels and the birds, but my favorites are the foggy landscapes.

Hello! *waves*

Thank you. :D It was such a gloriously foggy morning. We've had a few this spring but usually it's either a work day or it disperses by the time we've felt up to actually going out but we actually made an effort on Sunday, which paid off well.
