First, this was supposed to be the reaction post to the news about the casting of the Eleventh Doctor, but... I don't really know anything about the actor. So I'm going to hope for the best, even though I'd have preferred someone older ( Read more... )

I was so happy when I noticed the footprint!

It's hard to take bad pictures of ice, I think. It's just so marvellous.

Ice forms the most awesome shapes. I'm so glad we went for that walk - I had no idea the river would be frozen already, it's really not been that cold here lately.

Lovely! They are all lovely, although the last two and the one below the ice soup are especially appealing, though the footprint is awesome.

You make me want to visit Tallin in the winter. For someone who hates the cold...

Ice is really, really pretty. I wish we'd got there a bit before sunset, as it was a sunny day and I'd have loved to catch that light, but we never seem to manage to drag ourselves out before 2-2:30 pm or so, and of course, the sun is very low by that time already.

I don't like the humid cold. 0...+5°C is the absolute worst for me. -5...-10°C is wonderful though, especially once the sea gets all icy as well. It's just so pretty that the cold becomes a bit less relevant. :-D

Thank you. It's very hard to ignore it when it's all around you!
