I used to go between Philly and NY a lot. If you make that trip frequently and don't feel like giving greyhound all your money or sitting on a bus forever there's another way to do it on the local lines. You can catch the SEPTA line out of Philly to Newark (http://www.septa.org/service/sched/r2s_wk.html), then from Newark head over to the other platform and catch the local PATH (http://www.panynj.gov/CommutingTravel/path/html/map.html) into the city. Last time I did this it was a grand total of $13 one way. :)

Have a good trip :)

Thanks, I actually commuted every other weekend for the better part of 2006, so I'm EXTREMELY familiar with NYC-Philly/DE travel, and the R2.
Although, I never tried to take the PATH... I used to try the NJT trains, but trains ended up taking me half a day to get anywhere, while trying to juggle schedules, etc.
So I switched to the bus. Now it's about $15.75 each way (including train to Philly from Wilmington or Newark--which I managed to avoid today... my friend Becky is going to be kind enough to drive me up to the bus station in Philly--so $10 one way for bus), and it now takes me takes a little less than 5 hours from door to door. Maybe I'll look into the PATH for future transit needs, though. Thanks again! :)
