Haha, love the comic. There's a sweatshirt in the window of the Corte Inglés that says "New York College. For Live Easy. Born in Europe." If this makes any sense at all, I think it's a little offensive ... though if they had a girls' one, I might buy it.
I'm always tempted to buy these bits of clothing with nonsensical mashups of English words, because people in Europe generally think they're cool. They recognize certain words as being cool, so they assume the sum of them has a cumulatively awesome meaning. I wonder if people who have learned English better suddenly react with horror at just how bad these shirts are (similar to how certain French songs I liked a few years ago I now despise because once I could understand the incredibly dippy lyrics, they just lost their appeal).
I'm also tempted with this kind of clothing to buy it and then wear it back in the States, just for the confusion it would cause.
Btw, how much is this sweatshirt? That's actually one of the more noticeably bad English translations -- I might be interested in owning it. It's similar to the T-shirt I saw in Spain that was said something like "Bear Parade, NYC" and had a teddy bear on it. I was seriously considering getting it for psifenix as a gag gift.
