Thank you! I'm going to write a Teachers' Guide for Touch Blue. Would you mind if I included your booklist in that guide?
I was excited that my first bookstore request to sign Touch Blue came for next Sept. and the bookstore owner wants to do the signing as a fundraiser for a local foster care group. That makes it a very easy event for me to say yes to.
Let me keep thinking on them. I know there are more, but sure. I was just reading one a month or two ago that I really liked. I have the book somewhere in my house and I can visualize the cover and the book and everything, but the exact title is escaping me. I don't know if I would recommend David Peltzer or Maya Angelou to a child, they can be difficult...but some may need that. I believe Oprah read Maya. But the rest are very child appropriate.
Thanks. It's a great herd and wonderful. Very welcoming to kids from everywhere. The DHS caseworker asked if we were sure we didn't want to keep our license open "just in case" there were emergency children they couldn't find homes for. Sigh. Our kids love everyone.
