Fifteen seconds on the clock and Chaerin dribbled the ball down the field.
"Go, Chaerin unni!"
"You can do it, unni!"
"I love you, unni!"
Chaerin kicked the ball and it flew past the goalie, into the net just as the referee blew the whistle. A chorus of cheers and screams let out and a group of girls crowded around the school's most hyped soccer player.
"Good job, unni!"
"I knew you could do it!"
"Will you go out with me?"
Chaerin laughed humbly and thanked them. She walked over the bleachers and grabbed her water bottle, dumping half of the contents on her face before drinking the rest. She picked up her towel on the seat of the bleachers and slung it around her neck. She looked at the crowd and froze.
Gong Minji was at the game.
Chaerin was always at a loss for words whenever Gong Minji was in her peripheral view. She watched Minji exit the bleachers and walk off to wherever the hell she went off to.
She only wished Minji would look her way.

They end up starting the movie six minutes after seven. Jongin had been optimistic, twenty minutes ago, that they’d start on schedule for the first time all year, but then Jonghyun whined that Minho was running late from basketball practice, and after rejecting Jonghyun’s heartfelt movie recommendation the least Jongin could do was wait for his roommate. Jongin had opened his mouth to counter that Naruto was way past its prime, but by then Jongdae and Baekhyun were leading a chorus of people insisting their friends were coming, too. There’s a reason Jongin’s vice president of the club--he knows how to pick his battles, and having a big audience is much more important than timeliness, no matter how much Jongin would like both ( ... )

Taemin doesn’t forget. He bursts into their dorm room when Jongin unlocks the door, tossing Jongin’s comforter carelessly on the top bunk. There’s a smirk on Taemin’s lips Jongin would love to wipe off when Taemin turns around. “Great event, huh?” he says, and Jongin knows he means it, but he’s distracted by Taemin pushing Jongin’s backpack onto the floor, pulling Jongin forward by his belt loops. “How long until lights out?”
Jongin glances at the wall clock, a smile tugging at his mouth. “Two hours.”
“Good.”
Taemin kisses with a fervor that surprised Jongin once, but he matches it now, sucking on Taemin’s bottom lip and grinning when Taemin sighs. Taemin’s mouth tastes like cheap chapstick and clementines, and Jongin lets Taemin walk them back to the lower bunk, pushing Jongin onto the bed and crawling on top of him. Jongin pulls him forward by the strings of his hoodie, kisses him as Taemin gets his hands on Jongin’s hips.
