Jinyoung knocked on Jaebum’s door. He sighed when the other answered his hair a mess, clearly Jinyoung had gotten him out of bed. Jaebum sighed and let him in, before going to get drinks for them both. “Is this about Mark?” Jaebum asked quietly, JJ project was back together and at that point Jinyoung had told Jaebum everything about Mark. The making out in the shower, the sex in the dressing room, the secretive relationship, the apartment they had together. But it wasn’t all perfect with Mark. Jinyoung came over in tears more often than not and Jaebum had a feeling this was going to be one of those times. “You know you should talk to him about this.”
“Oh Yeah Jaebum, I should talk to the person who isn’t talking to me about his feelings because he’s on permanent heart lock down. Yes Jaebum, fantastic idea. Oh please tell me another one of your amazing ideas.” He paused a little, “sorry. Mark’s just got me all stressed,” Mark had been avoiding him for a while now. Jinyoung didn’t really know what was going on with the other and right now he wasn’t even sure they were on the same page. “I’m doing everything and he’s just giving me nothing back.” Jinyoung sighed more, “I mean today I was giving him head and he just stopped me so he could answer the phone from Yugyeom. I mean, would you stop a girl who was sucking you off?”
“For Yugyeom? Yes. He’s just out of rehab.” Jaebum sighed a little, “He could have been minutes away from shooting up.” he said with a small look in Jinyoung’s direction. “You know him and Bam were into the hard stuff, and now Bam’s avoiding Yugyeom because he cleaned up his act without needing rehab. They just got in too young.” Jaebum looked at Jinyoung, “he needs us and you know he does.”
“Yeah but this wasn’t the first time. I was riding him-”
“Can we just say having sex, I really don’t need to know how you two have sex.” Jaebum said and shook his head. “I don’t want to think about you two having sex or have those images deep in my mind. I have to perform with you everyday.”
“We finished and I just wanted to rest against Mark and he just made an excuse to get up and shower.” He sighed a little, “I feel like we’re not connecting anymore.” he said quietly. “Not since I came out. Not since he found out you know.” he breathed out a little.
Mark wasn’t one to share things. Mark was much more private. Mark was in no way open about his sexuality or his sexual history although Jinyoung had known that Mark wasn't a virgin when they had sex for the first time and it also wasn't Mark's first anal experience because he knew exactly what to do with the other. Jinyoung had been almost in awe of him and the way Mark focused on them and helped him through it gently coaxing him and helping him get comfortable and relax.
When Jinyoung asked however, Mark never said he was gay. He always avoided the question and always changed the subject. He knew that there was one day going to be a big fight between the two of them and it was going to end in them shouting at each other about each other's sexuality.
Jaebum shrugged a little, "Did you know Jackson is bisexual? Well he said Pansexual too, but who knows with Jackson, I don't think Jackson even knows." Jaebum looked at Jinyoung, "He called me after he told Mark. Mark told him he hated liking men." Jaebum said quietly.
"Great. My boyfriend is telling everyone but me what is going on inside his stupid head." Jinyoung said before letting out a frustrated noise. "I can't believe he is doing this to me. It's been so long, I mean I'm not asking him to introduce me to his family or say I'm the love of his life, but to say he hates liking men is... I hate this." Jinyoung closed his eyes and then sighed. "I am here for him to talk to. It's like he doesn't even like me."
"It's not that Jin." Jaebum said quietly, "it must be hard to tell someone that you're dating that you're not comfortable with your sexual preference yet."
"Maybe he's more comfortable just being friends." Jinyoung said getting ready to get up and go home. Although home meant back to bed with Mark, and right now he didn't want to see Mark. He felt betrayed, he was losing Mark and he could feel it, the other was getting more and more conscious of his sexuality.
It was just over a week later when Jinyoung went back round to Jaebum's although this time he brought the beer. "Mark's not been answering his phone and he hasn't been coming home until close to 3am. He's throwing himself into operation don't let Yugyeom get to any drugs." He sighed and then ran his fingers through his hair. "I mean I get it, he's fresh out of rehab but Mark's just doing this to avoid me, plus you know as well as I do that when Yugyeom is with BamBam they're doing drugs again." Jinyoung looked at Jaebum waiting for a reaction.
"I did think about that, but Mark is trying his best to look after the maknaes, they need it." Jaebum said with a small sigh.
"How is it possible to love someone so much and they just can't or won't love you back the same." Jinyoung said with a small sigh. He just wanted to be acknowledged and loved the same way he gave Mark. He wanted to be actually greeted when he came home. He felt like there were just passing each other like parallel lines that could never intersect. Jinyoung sighed taking a drink. "I love Mark so much Jaebum." he said looking at Jaebum.
"You can't make him feel the same Jinyoung. Sometimes people fall apart. It's just how it is." Jaebum sighed taking a drink himself. "Look, you say you love him but he almost always makes you feel like trash." he said with a shrug. "It's time for you to just go and dump him."
Jinyoung couldn't help but think that Jaebum was right. He didn't deserve this. He didn't deserve to be treated like nothing and it was pathetic for him to keep going back. He hated how much he loved Mark and he hated that his love was just being thrown back in his face. Jinyoung walked in throwing his key into the bowl where they kept the keys in. Jinyoung noticed Mark was sat on the sofa, on the laptop ignoring him.
"Mark. Yi-en." he said quietly walking in to go give the other a small kiss. "I missed you today." he said quietly. "How was Yugyeom today?" he asked quietly.
"Fine." Mark said, barely acknowledging Jinyoung. Jinyoung sighed a little and then moved to sit down next to Mark. He moved to lean a little onto his boyfriend. Mark sighed and reluctantly adjusted so the other could be comfortable. After a little while of silence the Chinese boy sighed. "Are you mad at me?"
"Have you done anything to make me mad Mark?"
"Jinyoung." he said, moving to shut his laptop down and moving so he could see the other's face. "Jinyoung, what is going on?"
"What is going on Mark? I'm not the one avoiding you! You're the one who's always ignoring me like I'm nothing." Jinyoung said and then glared at Mark. "Is this just a joke to you? Because it hurts ok. It hurts that you don't value our relationship and it hurts that I have to find out everything from our friends and not from you."
"Jinyoung." Mark said calmly.
"You hate being gay, I get it Mark. I get it and I don't get why you take it out on me. You don't want to be gay stop leading me on." he said on the brink of tears.
"This is why I didn't tell you. You over-react." Mark said moving to hold Jinyoung as he cried. Mark rubbed over Jinyoung's back and kept him close. Jinyoung clung to Mark's shirt, he wasn't ready for the other to leave him and he didn't want to force the other to deal with his sexuality issues. He just wanted to be with the other and there was nothing he could do to change the way it was going to go. He was going to have to put up with the heartbreak for a little while longer.
All he could hope for was they weren't parallel lines and there was going to be a point of intersection sometime soon.
