Overheard in cafeteria

I was sitting in the cafeteria of a government building when I overheard several lawyers discussing their cases. (The sound carries so I could clearly hear their discussions, in spite of them sitting 10 to 20ft away. Talk about embarrassing subjects

You wouldn't think that working at Starbucks I would find out about affairs, but people end up meeting there a lot. And then frequently men bring their wives at different times, and it's so odd, having that information.

I can see that happening, though that must be weird. Coffee shops seem innocuous enough to visit frequently, so it probably doesn't arouse much suspicion, not like a bar.

True! Very true, but it's still so uncomfortable and kind of "wtf." I definitely don't think that is anything to be proud of.

For those of us (and I think it's the majority) who live honest, authentic lives (as honest and authentic as we can), when we run across those who don't, it's kind of breath-taking.

Oh goodness, yes. I also wonder as attorneys if they're so openly discussing such intimate details of their lives if they're also quite so cavalier with client information. The mind, it boggles.
