The "Black March,” a memoir-like book, written by SS officer Peter Neumann, is certainly worth reading. It describes the process of education of an obedient servant of a totalitarian regime, and his subsequent activities during WWII. The first diary event (March 11, 1938) describes the ceremony of swearing in of six hundred Hitler Jugend members. ( Read more... )
