Jonghyun reminds me of you in the way that he thinks really deeply into things. Hahaha.
e.g. When he ended his relationship with his acoustic guitar from three years ago (i.e. giving it away to his cousin), his cousin set it on fire. She is crazy, but Jonghyun kind of wanted to cry.
This is my favorite line in the whole world. I love Jonghyun in so many ways, but his sorrow for his acoustic guitar is just the sweetest thing in the world.
She's not surprised from his blunt answer. He, obviously, does not care for mannerisms. This is why girls like Yonghwa and not Jonghyun.

Minhyuk has confirmed that Jonghyun, in the traditional manner, is much more attractive than Yonghwa. But the latter is charismatic and suave while the former is terribly awkward and has a stammering issue.
I totally agree with Jonghyun's thought process on this, but I think that's just what makes some people like Yonghwa more and some people like Jonghyun. I wish I could meet him irl life to tell him this, but then again, it wouldn't really matter because this is a fic and your thoughts rather than his and - never mind. I confuse myself.

about the no mannerisms thing! lol, okay, so on director's cut he displays himself as a very rough guy in the sense that he is awkward but doesn't really change his mannerisms. he isn't rude, but when him and sojin did some fake blind date, he just called out like, "beer over here!" and he's not afraid to get informal. even in wgm he was always honest, whether it was nice or not (seohyun's cooking.) but i love jonghyun super much.
btw, when jonghyun did say that in front of sojin, she was basically like, i don't like rough guys aka him. i.e. shes straightforward too.
you're the only author who's swayed me into liking jonghyun/sojin and jonghyun/sunny. i don't know much about sojin tbh, but i love your characterization of her.

first off, she majors in mechanical engineering. i mean, come on. in director's cut i saw she was just very curt and kind of deadpan. she didn't joke around a lot and seemed really shy. she's super mature (bouquet) but when she is a dork she is a dork. they looked good together on director's cut, so i figured, why not? and, she is also three or four years older than jonghyun. i always pictured him to be the type to like older women.
and hahaha, their japan image. woah. no problem for jonghyun and sojin, i love trying new couples. they're one of my new favorites lol.
there prob should be a jonghyun/seohyun tag. the one sidedness was definitely there. or just a yonghwa/jonghyun tag. idek, but, i love them two all the time.

I think an element of it is jealousy (I feel like even though Yonghwa and Jonghyun are super-close, the latter is jealous of the former in a lot of ways), but I think there was something else there as well, a bit of veeeeery slight UST or something, Idk.
I KNOW afjkehgakjg. sojin has always been my favorite in girl's day too, even though i don't watch them a lot. but i know this girl is just amazing and really mature, but when she's a dork it's unstoppable. she's also older, and i always thought that jonghyun would be into older women.
and this is true, this is true. maybe jonghyun is just jealous of seohyun for yonghwa lolol. you never know. but i feel like jonghyun and seohyun would just click because they're alike, romantically though i don't know if it would get that far.
