I did have plans to get some stuff done this week, but Cassie started barfing Saturday night, spent Sunday resting, and is only just now back to normal. Q started barfing yesterday at daycare and had to come home before lunch. Today's been a rather busy day. Cassie had a half-day because of parent-teacher conferences, and got out at 11:30. But Q had his ENT appointment at 11. So, I think I mentioned that Q had an ear infection last month. Two weeks ago, he still had one: better, but not all the way gone. The pediatrician prescribed a stronger antibiotic, and asked us to come back in two weeks to check on it ( Read more... )

I don't think I've talked about it here much, but we've had a rather tenacious cold going through the household the past two weeks. As a result, Jay's actually deigned to start seeing his doctor (for the first time in like 15 years), which gives me a certain peace of mind, to tell the truth. Yeah, yeah, nothing but videos this week. Videos and pain. I'm getting better, but it's too slow for my liking. The infection's receded, but I'm still in a lot of pain. ( cut for some nursing talk )

I started my abx yesterday, and already there's been improvement. The redness has receded a bit--the line is gone, even if the rest of the red is still there, and the area is swollen ( Read more... )
