5 years ago this morning, I was on my way to be induced. Cassandra Leigh was born at 5:45 pm, weighing 7 pounds 14 ounces, measuring 21.5 inches long (and with a 15 and 5/8 inch head circumference!) Happy Birthday to sylvantechie! One highlight of this weekend was his lovely brunch today. There were homemade doughnuts, fruit salad, homemade English muffins (and chocolate ones too!), lovely quiche, seitan sausage as well as real bacon, and other nummies. Cassie's birthday week has finally ended with a trip to the pediatrician for her yearly exam and 4 shots-- one for each year, presumably. She did well. Cassie's officially four in...about an hour and a half. She had her party with friends on Friday, family's coming over on Saturday, and today I'm taking her out for dinner, just the two of us, as Jay is out of town, unavoidably, for a business conference.

A week ago I went along with the whole 8th grade to the Higgins Armory, which is very cool. Some of them got to play with/try on some armor, and there was also some Romeo & Juliet roleplaying.
