you know.. if that pitchfork on R2-D2 were just a little more centered, it would be disturbingly phallic. The red color they used for that artwork does silly things to my still-awake-mind.
I CAN'T BELIEVE THESE PEOPLE. It's people like this that give Christians a bad name.
I don't believe watching Star Wars will send you to Hell any more than I believe 'seeing the Morality Players perform the works of JACK CHICK on August 19-21 2005' will 'save your eternal soul'. The Bible states clearly what will save your soul... it sure isn't that.
I can only hope that these people made this in jest... but I doubt it. There are some Christians that believe it's ok to kill a woman (in the name of God) because she had an abortion. I wouldn't put anything past the people today. If these people are serious, they are as bad as the people who believe that Harry Potter is from the devil.
I'm sorry. I know you've had your experiences with these types of Christians and it really bothers me to see someone taking my religion and making us all look like morons.
I hate that you've actually had to deal with these types of Christians in real life. Via the internet is bad enough. You've actually had them up close in your face. It just drives me bonkers. I'm glad you understand.
Oh! I should really write about the convo I had with her on Mother's Day.
"There's this restaurant run by lesbians. I won't go there. I don't want people to see me there and think I support lesbians." ".. oookkaay mom."
You almost have to pity them, though. They're so terrified of something they can't control that they eventually end up hating anyone who isn't as crazy as themselves.
That's retarded. I am really tempted to email them asking, "you promise I will go to hell? Score! I'm told in Heaven all they do is study Torah all day, and frankly, I can't think of any fate worse than that! Thanks for the assurance that endless Torah study is not to be my fate!"
I wonder how they would react. But then. Best not to feed the animals, right?

The t-shirts they were selling had Christ in a 70's leisure suit(a known time of sexual promiscuity, which Christians frown upon) and walking in front of a rainbow(the accepted symbol of gays/lesbians, whom the vast majority - not all - of Christians think are immoral and are going to Hell anyways). Is the image they are trying to portray of their savior one of a polygamous homosexual? So does it seems to anyone else like they're sending a mixed message? Star Wars will send you to Hell but multiple partners of the same sex will save your soul?

Sweetheart, I understand completely. I was raised Christian, remember. I certainly don't see these idiots as speaking for all Christians.
There are Witches and Pagans who make us look bad, too.
I think there are crazies in every religion.
