It's No Joke. If You Believe In The Force, You Will Go To HellWhen I first saw this link, I thought it was a goofy joke. However, a few of my Christian friends admitted, much to their dismay, that these people were bloody serious ( Read more... )

I'm a christian. I believe you know this.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THESE PEOPLE. It's people like this that give Christians a bad name.

I don't believe watching Star Wars will send you to Hell any more than I believe 'seeing the Morality Players perform the works of JACK CHICK on August 19-21 2005' will 'save your eternal soul'. The Bible states clearly what will save your soul... it sure isn't that.

I can only hope that these people made this in jest... but I doubt it. There are some Christians that believe it's ok to kill a woman (in the name of God) because she had an abortion. I wouldn't put anything past the people today. If these people are serious, they are as bad as the people who believe that Harry Potter is from the devil.

I'm sorry. I know you've had your experiences with these types of Christians and it really bothers me to see someone taking my religion and making us all look like morons.

*hugs you*

Sweetheart, I understand completely. I was raised Christian, remember. I certainly don't see these idiots as speaking for all Christians.

There are Witches and Pagans who make us look bad, too.

I think there are crazies in every religion.

I hate that you've actually had to deal with these types of Christians in real life. Via the internet is bad enough. You've actually had them up close in your face. It just drives me bonkers. I'm glad you understand.

There's always an extreme, isn't there?

My mother is the same way, too.

Oh! I should really write about the convo I had with her on Mother's Day.

"There's this restaurant run by lesbians. I won't go there. I don't want people to see me there and think I support lesbians." ".. oookkaay mom."

You almost have to pity them, though. They're so terrified of something they can't control that they eventually end up hating anyone who isn't as crazy as themselves.

My Nana (*giggles*) told me that after thinking about it she was okay if I ever wanted to marry a girl as long as she wasn't scary looking and I didn't have to support her.

My NANA!!

I could see her sitting there thinking about it too. Then deciding it wasn't worth loosing you over. Cause your Nana is a Goddess. ;)

She is indeed. Besides, in my entire life, Ace is the only guy she's ever liked. She's been more welcoming of my closer female friends.

Yes, I have, but meeting Christians like you make up for the bad experiences-- and I mean that. If I didn't have the bad, how could I cherish the good?

Heyya. I would just like to point out that the people who believe this, are more than likely also the same people who think that Harry Potter is from the devil.
