I just finished the front with the shorter number of rows. The side easily stretches to fit the back, so I'm going to knit the bottom blocks. I'm so glad I thought of the stockinette length difference before I knit it the full length. Now I just hope this works as planned!

I'm close to the point where I need to check if it's long enough with fewer rows. I think it will be. I still wish my gauge had matched...

Something I always wondered about on this sweater--stockinette is taller than garter stitch, so how are the blocks on the front edge going to turn out?

Last night I did the math for the original gauge, and if it's right, the front is an inch and a half shorter than the back.

I sewed the second half of the flat felled seams on the middy blouse. I pinned the side seams and pinned the collar mockup in. The shoulders bunched up a little around the neck. I just knit my first row, but I made Arthur's New Year's sash and bow tie. Tomorrow I'm getting the things to make his accessories. Pictures soon, of course. Which makes me realize I don't have any sweater pictures yet...
