My favorite chemise had a huge blowout at the ball last night. It no longer really has a neckline. But I suppose it had a good run!

So, three yards of handkerchief linen is on the way. And I'll work a little each day to not take away from the beaded dress too much. Unfortunately, I want it really nice and not just thrown together :)

The handkerchief linen is supposed to be soft and supple, right? Because someone in downtown LA told us this white linen she sold us was handkerchief but it's stiff and kind of heavy...

Have you given it a hot wash to pre-shrink it and get the finish out of it? That will soften it up.

Although it really shouldn't be heavy, so perhaps they have sold you the wrong stuff.
