As hoped for, I finished the petticoat and shift last night!

Today, I think that means starting Regency Leia :)

The petticoat just needs drawstrings threaded through the neckline and hem.

I think I can finish the chemise easily today. It just needs side seams felled, a hem, and shoulder reinforcements.

Hooray for no last minute sewing! Unless I want to :)

But there is something satisfying about nice, straight pulled thread lines and little flat felled seams :)

I finished the beaded dress last night. I had lost light for pictures, so pictures today :)

Also, I started the new shift. Exciting!

My favorite chemise had a huge blowout at the ball last night. It no longer really has a neckline. But I suppose it had a good run!

So, three yards of handkerchief linen is on the way. And I'll work a little each day to not take away from the beaded dress too much. Unfortunately, I want it really nice and not just thrown together :)

I finished the apron, patched the  underarms on my Regency shift, moved the straps  on my strapped petticoat, and took a pattern of my chemisette to make  a new one.

I've worn the strapped petticoat many times,  but somehow didn't notice that the straps went under my armpits.  I guess that solves the mystery of what layer was cutting into my ( Read more... )

The drawers are done! That means all I have left for Costume Con is to sew a ribbon on a cap (well, and pleat the frill with my pleater, but that's just fun) and sew sleeve ruffles to a shift. And I have the sleeve ruffles already, although they're probably not the right shape. I don't mind for now ( Read more... )

The chemise is almost done-just a little handwork left.

The drawers are started. I had to go to JoAnn for more Egyptian cotton, and they were out. Fortunately I asked and was led to another nice cotton. I was very thankful :)

I think I can finish by tomorrow. With a week to spare. I hope!
