Starfire wasn't sure exactly where she and Dib would meet up today. She certainly couldn't invite him back to the Titans Tower, since bringing a stranger back to the Titans Tower certainly wouldn't be the best option. So maybe meeting up with Dib in a park area would be a good option. Then maybe they would figure out where to go from there ( Read more... )

Dib flinched in his stride as a massive, warfitted oliphant trundled past behind him, chasing after a bouncing caber. He'd gotten used somewhat to the jumbled interdimensional chaos that was the Nexus, but every once in a while another thing startled him. Like a barbarian playing fetch with his war mount.
This is where he was supposed to meet her, but where was she? I'd kind of hard to miss a floating redhead in paisley, but this place was pretty big. He cut through a copse of trees and finally noticed her, floating next to one of the park benches.
"...Hi." He said simply as he approached.

Starfire watched the many things happening as she waited for Dib, as well. She didn't notice anything like oliphants and cabers, but she did see trolls chasing after human girls with flowers and candy, and couldn't help but giggle as she watched.

She perked when she heard him, and smiled at him. "I am glad to see that you have made it!" Starfire said.

Ah, prepare yourself, Dib. You have not experienced the wrath of Starfire's friendly hugs, which may or may not include cracking and maybe untangling any back knots.

"GLAUGH--" And Dib is scooped up into a ribcage-crumpling hug that lifts him off the ground by a few inches! "Geh... Glad I could make it too." He croaks.

Starfire lets go as soon as she realizes that he's croaking. "I apologize! I have been told that my hugs are very, well. Rough in some aspects," she says.

The neon-soaked Nexus arcade bosted almost every game in existance and was probably the single biggest threat to epileptics in the multiverse.
Dib grinned as his miniature space-hero character smashed tiny ninja butt alongside Starfire's diminutive character Super Chibi Fighter VI.
"You know the weird thing is, when I asked to hear about your world I was expecting something a little more different." Tiny laser phaser fire sliced through an itty bitty ninja with copious amounts of... cute blood? "It suprised me... I never expected Tamaraneans to be so much like humans."

"And I had never considered the possibility of other lifeforms being so similiar to Tamaraneans," Starfire says, and she enjoys kicking ninja butt, especially with her chibi ninja stars of doom. "Although I have noticed culture differences between Earth and Tamaran in some aspects."

"Oh yeah? Like how?"
Dib's tongue pokes out as he tries to figure out the controls for his character's rocket boot ability. It takes him a while, and not before the chibi space-hero accidentally rockets himself into a crowd of cute ninjas.

"Many things! Like the way we eat, what we eat, and the way we dress, the way we sing, the music, and so many other things. I was surprised to learn about it," Starfire says, mentally going through a list in her head. She giggled when his chibi super-hero crashed into the crowd of ninjas, but she quickly noticed that some of the ninjas had surrounded her, and she starts to pay closer attention to the screen.

She nods. "I believe that you will know what to do. And I am confident that you will go with what will make you feel best," she says.

She thinks about it, going through the foods outloud. "Let me see. I do enjoy the pizza and the many combinations that can be included with it. I have tried burgers before when a friend of mine got a job at a Meaty place. I am not sure if I have ever eaten a taco before."

"Actually, I could go for pizza right now. I think there was a place around here..."
They'd turned the corner and into view comes convienient indoor-outdoor by-the-slice pizza place with the name "Doormat Pizza."
"Wow. That was easy."

"Indeed it was!" she nods. "It seems that this part of the Nexus is good when it comes to finding exactly what you are looking for."

"I've noticed that. Stuff isn't always where it's supposed to be, but it tends to just appear when you go looking for it."
Inside the place looked like your typical authenticized "ristorante" if it were designed by someone who had no idea what a ristorante looked like. They don't typically have pizza-patterned floor tiles or hanging plants that were eating the extra ingridients, but hey, points for trying right?
The place served by pie or by the slice, judging by the sign. "Hey, you know, why don't you order. I'll eat pretty much anything."
