Starfire wasn't sure exactly where she and Dib would meet up today. She certainly couldn't invite him back to the Titans Tower, since bringing a stranger back to the Titans Tower certainly wouldn't be the best option. So maybe meeting up with Dib in a park area would be a good option. Then maybe they would figure out where to go from there ( Read more... )

She nods. "I believe that you will know what to do. And I am confident that you will go with what will make you feel best," she says.

She thinks about it, going through the foods outloud. "Let me see. I do enjoy the pizza and the many combinations that can be included with it. I have tried burgers before when a friend of mine got a job at a Meaty place. I am not sure if I have ever eaten a taco before."

They'd turned the corner and into view comes convienient indoor-outdoor by-the-slice pizza place with the name "Doormat Pizza."

Inside the place looked like your typical authenticized "ristorante" if it were designed by someone who had no idea what a ristorante looked like. They don't typically have pizza-patterned floor tiles or hanging plants that were eating the extra ingridients, but hey, points for trying right?
The place served by pie or by the slice, judging by the sign. "Hey, you know, why don't you order. I'll eat pretty much anything."

But what Dib isn't aware of is that he just signed himself up for a strange experience when it comes to different food tastes.

He's a little too distracted by the squabbling carnivorous foliage in planters high up on the ceiling to hear Star's order, but he quickly turns and pays the total anyway.
"So... What did you think of Earth the first time you came there?" He asks by way of conversation, grabbing thatever drinks that had been ordered and finding a seat with her. The pizza would take a few minutes, after all.

Going with him to grab a seat, Starfire says, "When I first arrived on Earth, I did not understand anything about it. Naturally, I was scared when I first arrived. It did not take me long to find my team, though. They were the ones that helped me get acquainted with the planet and its ways."

Starfire thinks about questions to ask Dib as she takes a slurp of her drink. She asks, "I am curious about you some more, so I hope you do not mind if I ask: who else is in your family, or is it just you and your father?"

"I have a little sister too. Her name is Gaz, and she... well, I try to look out for her every once in a while, and I THINK she likes me... It's hard to tell since she can be kinda, well, scary sometimes."

"I am not entirely sure what happened. I guess in a way things just... changed. It is as if she no longer wishes to-" When he brought up that question, she looked down at her pizza, and said, "I have ordered pizzas with a topping of marshmallow and shrimp!" She said this with a straight face. A completely, straight face.

"Marshamallow and--" He picks up a pink-and-white slice as though it were radioactive and stares at it. It droops in his hand. "--shrimp? I... guh, umm... ooookay... Well, I guess siblings can be a problem no matter where a person is from, huh?
He hesitates, then carefully bites a piece off the slice of pizza.
"...Hey... S'not bad.."
