After an extended amount of time spent trying to train on my own, I've finally given up and joined another triathlon group. This group is about 50 times more intense than the one I started with - they have 3 coached swims, 2 coached bikes, and 2 coached runs and expect you to do another 1 bike and 3 runs on your own time - but I feel surprisingly ( Read more... )

Christmas was good. I got a few things on my list and a few things not on my list, but everything was something I could use and would enjoy. Dang, this semi truck just toppled over while merging onto the Trans-Canada in view of our balcony. I heard a somewhat loud thump and went out onto the deck when I saw it. For Christmas, Ryan got me this sweet bike trainer. You can put any bike on it, then ride it just like you would a stationary bike. It was so awesome too because I still had the road bike my friend had let me borrow since October. For about two weeks I was riding it regularly, but then Thursday he took the bike back. Boo.
