Two Fucktasms of Monday

So I had been noticing for the past 10 or so days that I seemed to keep waking up to somebody's car alarm going off. I thought maybe there was an epidemic of car thefts or something, and I was glad I didn't have a car myself. However, I have slowly come to realize that I have no reason to be happy about my car not getting stolen. In fact, I ( Read more... )

The soap dispensers is probably a money saving thing, and it's not like people can't use a soap thing which isn't directly in front of them.

Furthermore, washing with water along does a better job than most people give it credit for, in terms of removing germs. You get about 80-90% with water alone, soap is more for dirt and getting the last 10-20% off.

ok Steve, honestly, who is going to rinse their hands, walk through two or three people to get to the sinks with soap on the other side, get soap from a basin someone else is using, and then go back to their own sink, hoping no one else has taken it while they were off getting soap? You're right, it's probably a money saving thing, but that's a stupid way to save money. They save $20 at the expense of hygiene (not that everyone uses the soap anyway, but still) when they could easily save $20 a hundred other ways that don't involve installing half the sinks with no soap dispenser. In fact, it probably cost more to hold the meeting to think of this than they saved by actually doing it.

Also, 10-20% is still a lot compared to .1% or .01%, especially considering all the millions of germs there are to start with.

It's retarded, admit it, use soap. : ))

The impression that I don't is sorely mistaken. The need to be absolutely free of pathogens is, however, a very recent invention, and one contributing to massive abuse of antibacterial agents.

Suburban mothers the nation over, take note: It is not necessary to disinfect your entire house. Really.

If you don't want to wash your hands with soap, you go right ahead. I, however, would like to have the option to do so without the commute across the bathroom.
