Oh my gosh, word on both six and 8. Beast Wars, though not all of it was gold, still had amazing stuff. Also, something that no other TF continuity has been able to produce: (that I have seen yet though I have not seen EVERYTHING out there) A satisfying death scene.

And then they screw it all up with Beast Machines. it's like having someone come crap on your favorite teddy bear. T.T

I don't care about shellformers or having organic disguises, etc etc, but I draw the line at having the entire goal of the series wind up being... turning Cybertron into an organic planet. Just. Wtf?

Yeah, they kinda threw out their G1 roots at making Cybertron organic. I dunno what they were smoking.
