[Russia is standing on a lawn chair, throwing the satellite into the air and catching it again when it falls back down, muttering "Up! Up!" at it.

This isn't crazy at all.]

[Looking. Over. The astronomy geek in me had to tag this]

Да! Is little Sputnik though Russia is not knowing how it is getting all the way back down here without burning up in atmosphere.

So that's the real Sputnik. [TOUCHES IT really quickly just so he can say that he did.]

It did burn up in the atmosphere in 1958 after its three months in orbit. Forget that one and go ahead and build Sputnik 2. [Laika, sob]

[Stroking Sputnik fondly.]

Two is already built mostly. Was going to launch on November 7th, on anniversary! Even have cute little dogs to go inside!

. . . Was being right before Russia is leaving home.

Mm, Russia does not know. Was by mailbox this morning, so must have fallen here by accident. And mysteriously avoided being burned up in atmosphere.

Is aluminium and magnesium and titanium! Russia's scientists have worked very hard to make right metal!

Is supposed to be in Space, so Russia is trying to put it back.

Dwarves? Ah . . . perhaps are small compared to Motherland? Well they are not all that very short most of the time.

Going to find a way! Perhaps mixing vodka and gasoline.
