Finished that thing from the other day. It... actually, it was very nice to me the whole time. I'd forgotten what it was like not to have to fight a picture the whole way through. I wish they were all this placid and cooperative.

See, I have a week's vacation now, and there's this drawing I need to finish, but I just... can't get myself to work on it... Especially because I have no good place to do so. And I just went through some shit, so for the last 2 days I've just been trying to distract myself as best I can, and drawing just doesn't provide enough distraction for me to stop thinking. So I've been doing all other sorts of stuff instead, watching movies, discussing stuff, rping, just anything that gets my mind away. Which is really annoying, because I have so many drawings that I WANT to finish now that I actually have time.

Yeah, I can understand that. When I work in my dorm I have to do it on the floor, and that gets kind of painful after a while.

As for distracting--YES. When I go in to the studio to paint for a long time, I always seem to end up thinking about things I don't want to, and working myself up until I'm all upset. Sometimes when I draw in the dorm or at home, I go work in the front of the tv so that I'll have something to occupy my mind, but that's still not the best distraction. I suppose you could work while you watch movies? Unless you're one of those people who actually... watches the movie...

Yeah, I have to do it on the floor as well. If it's something that doesn't make a mess, I do it on the bed. And anyway, lately I've been thinking about this whenever I have 5 minutes with nothing to do, so.

It depends VERY on the movie. If it's a movie I haven't seen, and especially if I've been wanting to see it, then I like to pay attention. If I've seen it before, then I can just sorta zone out and watch whenever I feel like it, and just listen. I just downloaded the HBP audio-book, which I'm hoping will be sufficient distraction for me to draw.

If you have some kind of board to lay it on, I suppose that would work... but I don't, and I need a hard surface :/

ah, books on tape are a good idea.

Well, yeah, depends how big it is too, of course.

Tape? More like books on mp3. What is this "pay" you talk of? Well, alright, fine, I did pay for the Without You audiobook, but that's only so I could listen to Anthony Rapp talk about his first, young, gay, sexual experiences out loud. Because. How could I resist? *uses approapriate icon*

*answering to the other comment* Righto. Sorry. XD At least it made you aware it wasn't under 'private', and gave amusement to a sleepy brain. I'm going to bed now, before I pass out.

Yes, thank you much for that ^^; I'd leave it open to just you if I could. Well, actually I suppose I could make a special custom friends group with just you in it... but do you really care that much?

I usually save my IM conversations, because they make me laugh and I like to re-read them.

Eh. I ought to go to bed too -_-

No, I don't really care that much. XD I save my IM conversation to. I'm a log whore.

....

I just.. checked, and...

I seriously have 400 mb worth of IM logs. Like, from the course of a bit over the last 2 years. Woosh. And that's not counting mp3 logs of a few voice conversations.

See? I went to bed. Slept 10 hours and everything.

I figured.

Wow. I don't IM all that much except with her, and that's only a recent development, so I don't have more than a few, maybe ten, conversations saved

I envy you. I went to bed, but I had to get up to go see a radio show at 11, so I only got... *counts* 6 hours. Which isn't bad, but isn't all that refreshing either.
